Georgii Kukhaleishvili notes that there are prerequisites for changes in dairy product prices in the domestic market of Ukraine. In March, discounts on dairy products in retail chains are expected, which may lead to a revival of consumer demand. At the end of 2024, domestic milk processing enterprises significantly raised prices for finished products, taking advantage of the temporary increase in butter prices in export markets. Ukrainian consumers were unprepared for the sharp rise in dairy product prices in retail chains. High prices for products from Ukrainian cheesemakers contributed to an increase in cheese imports in December 2024 and a reduction in domestic consumption.
