If the EU had imposed sanctions on Russia's agricultural sector, the war would have ended long ago. This was stated by the President of the Association of Milk Producers of Ukraine (AMP), Andrii Dykun, during committee hearings.
He emphasized that Russia continues to use food security as a political tool.
"The lessons of Europe's energy dependence on Russia have already become clear to everyone. It was not just a vulnerability – it was a weapon used against European unity and stability. Today, Russia continues to use food security as a political tool. If the EU had imposed sanctions on Russia's agricultural sector, Russia would already be on the brink of famine, and the war would have ended long ago. But no one talks about this, and meanwhile, the war is in its third year," said Andrii Dykun.
He stressed that Ukrainian farmers have never used grain as a political tool. According to the agricultural community, Ukraine's accession to the EU should become a mutually beneficial alliance.
