Analytical Department of the Association of Milk Producers presented dairy industry map of Ukraine within the framework of the XII International Dairy Congress. The map shows the main facts about dairy farming and dairy industry of Ukraine.
AMP has created Ukraine Dairy Map
“The Ukraine Dairy Map-2019” is an analytical and infographic work of the Association of Milk Producers, created with the assistance of USAID. The main purpose of this map is to show that Ukraine has quality milk and its volume is growing every year. The work on creating the map lasted for a month. And the idea itself was born as a result of dialogue with foreign colleagues. After we heard their vision that the quality of milk in Ukraine is quite low. There is some truth in this, but in recent years the domestic dairy industry has made a significant leap in improving the quality and technological parameters of milk production and it is worth talking about," -- said AMP analyst Yana Muzychenko.
The map also clearly shows the volume of industrial milk production by region.
“Another of our tasks was to show, first of all, to foreign organizations and partner companies that the figure of dairy herds productivity in Ukraine is not 6000 kg/head, as the official statistics says (and in the case of analysis of cow productivity taking into account households - not more than 4500 kg / head). For example, as of results of 2018, the average productivity of the farms of the Association of Milk Producers is 8,600 kg. At the same time, there are farms average milk yields exceeds 11,000 kg / head per year,”added Yana Muzychenko.
It should be emphasized that the map shows the TOP-10 most productive farms of AMP. In addition, the milk map contains statistics on exports of Ukrainian dairy products, basic facts about the dairy market of Ukraine and others.
