Agrarian associations of Ukraine join forces - the Association of Milk Producers became a full member of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum.
On March 01, 2024, the Association of Milk Producers became a full member of the All-Ukrainian Agrarian Forum (UAF), which already unites eight agricultural associations of Ukraine. AMP Director General Hanna Lavreniuk was appointed as a representative of AMP in the Board of the UAF.
As part of the UAF, agricultural associations unite, in particular, to:
- joint protection of the interests of member companies and partners
- coordination and presentation of the common position of Ukrainian agrarian business at all levels
- development of national, state and regional programs for the development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine
- strengthening constructive dialog with international agrarian associations,
- assistance in creating fair legal and financial conditions for the restoration and development of the agro-industrial complex of Ukraine
- access and representation of Ukrainian agricultural products on foreign markets
"The acceleration of European integration processes for Ukraine's agricultural sector and the difficulties that have recently arisen in the dialogue with the agricultural communities of individual EU countries along the way require Ukrainian agricultural business associations to communicate more actively with their European colleagues and partners. Sometimes even debunking myths that harm the mutually beneficial cooperation of our countries and strengthening the role of each in ensuring domestic and global food security," comments Anna Lavreniuk. - "Therefore, in 2023, the General Meeting of the AUFM decided to join the WAF as a platform for advocacy and protection of the interests of our members.
Today, on March 04, in Brussels, the AMP, as part of the UAF delegation, is participating in a joint meeting with the European Association of Farmers and Agricultural Cooperatives COPA-COGECA on ways to compromise on the regulation of agricultural imports to the EU and adaptation of the EU Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) to the integration of candidate countries, including Ukraine, into the EU agricultural community.
